2024-25 Season Registration

McKenzie County Hockey Club (MCHC) Mission: The McKenzie County Hockey Club will provide the youth of the Watford City area opportunities, both recreational and competitive, to participate in ice hockey. Lifetime lessons will be learned in: Responsibility, Physical Fitness, Discipline, Cooperation, Sportsmanship, Teamwork, and Leadership. Most important participants will have FUN learning and playing the greatest game on earth.

AGES

Players must be 4 or older by October 1st

First Year Players Free

First year players are free to register wth our club! You will still need to pay the USA Hockey registration fee and rent equipment. Please contact the registrar wcoiler.registrar@outlook.com for more information on how to get the free registration.

DIBS

This program would not be able to run without volunteer hours. There is a required 20 hours per family, 10 of those hours must be in concessions.

First year families to the program are only required to complete 5 hours in concessions, but more would be appreciated.

Failure to complete DIBS hours will be billed $1,000

Extra Costs

McKenzie County Hockey Club is a youth sports program governed by North Dakota Amature Hockey Association (NDAHA), who is governed by USA Hockey.

NDAHA has an Affiliate fee of $15 which is added to your USA Hockey Registration that is lined out below. Please click on the picture to find more information on what you are receiving when registering with USAH.

Practices

Learn to Skate and Learn to Play generally practice 2 times a week.

Squirts through Bantams practice 3 times a week.

The High School Girls and Jr Gold teams practice 4 times a week.

When

Official practices begin the first week of November. A few of the older teams will hold tryouts before this, a message will be sent out regarding dates and times. Season ends in February for the younger groups. State tournaments for 12U/PW and up are one of the first 2 weekends in March, depending on team.

Welcome to the 2024-2025 Registration

This registration session will allow you to complete contact information, sign up for participation, rent equipment, and submit payment. Please read through each page carefully to ensure that all information is provided accurately.

DO NOT START THE REGISTRATION PROCESS WITHOUT THE FOLLOWING ITEMS:

USA Hockey number, You must register with USA Hockey and get a confirmation number before starting registration. This is a new number every year. For this season the number in the fourth position will be a "5".

Payment plans are available.  You can pay via credit card or debit card with an added processing fee. New with Crossbar, you can pay with electronic check and avoid the processing fee, just have your bank information, account # & routing number ready.

If you would like to pay offline with cash, check or VENMO (@WC-Oilers-1), you must request the "pay offline password" prior to registering. You can obtain this password by emailing the club's registrar at wcoiler.registrar@outlook.com

The club is offering a scholarship program for those who need assistance with registration fees. For more information go to our Scholarship Page.

*Equipment rental is available for players ($50 for partial/$75 for full equipment rental) however once the player hits 14U / Bantam age or higher it is not guaranteed that the club has the size needed.
